The Gardner School of Cincinnati
Nationally Accredited Preschool in Cincinnati
The Gardner School of Cincinnati offers a safe, warm, and enriching environment designed to help our students thrive. For more than a decade, we have maintained the honor of national accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which is widely recognized as the highest benchmark of quality for a childcare program.
Spacious Outside Playground For Students to Explore
The Gardner School of Cincinnati sits on a beautiful three-acre campus, featuring an interactive playground with a large amount of green space, which is certified as a Schoolyard Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. This spacious playscape includes garden areas and lots of trees tucked away from city noises. We’ve found that our outdoor area is one of the children’s favorite environments to explore and learn.
The teachers at The Gardner School of Cincinnati inspire learning by encouraging creative exploration and creating an environment for children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our learning approach allows teachers to utilize a variety of teaching philosophies to reach all students. Our blended selection of research-based curriculums—including Creative Curriculum, World of Wonders, Learning Without Tears, along with incorporating the Reggio Emilia approach—allows each class to build upon the previous year’s learning. We place a high priority on routinely assessing student growth and development, sharing progress with parents along the way to provide the best care and education.
In order to best serve the needs of our community, we offer educational preschool and early childhood programs for children ages 6 weeks to private kindergarten. As one of two locations in the Cincinnati area, we proudly serve families located in Loveland, Mason, South Lebanon, and the surrounding northeast communities. Our school is conveniently located at 9370 Waterstone Boulevard, near the Lexus dealership. For more information, please fill out the contact form below.

How long have you been with TGS?
I joined the TGS family in 2017.
Roles served with TGS:
It is my immense pleasure to introduce myself as the Executive Director of TGS Cincinnati. Prior to this role, I had the privilege of working in various educational roles including Lead Pre-K Teacher, Curriculum Director, and School Support Manager.
What is your educational background?
My educational journey includes a bachelor’s in science and a bachelor’s in education with CDA certification.
What made you decide to have a career in education?
Apart from my parents, I have been inspired by many of my teachers since my own early childhood days, and I believe that they helped shape me to choose a career in education.
What makes you laugh about kids?
The long stories, honesty, and the innocence with no filters.
What do you love most about working with infants through the age of 5?
Working with infants through the age of five is fun and rewarding! Not only can I help children, but I can be a part of their families, too. Witnessing the different early stages of children’s growth and development, seeing children achieving milestones, developing new skills, and gaining confidence in their abilities are some of the things I love the most about my job.
What is your favorite part of the day at TGS?
Greeting and chatting with my TGS families.
What do you love most about TGS?
TGS is a great place to learn and grow. Not only do I love the vision, structure, and curriculum, but I also love how our mentors, teachers and families all work together as one BIG family.
What is your fondest memory of TGS thus far?
There are endless memories built here, but one that is closest to my heart is when my name got changed from Indrani to RANI, which means “Queen.”
What inspires you?
Knowing that I’m a small part of every TGS child I come across inspires me to go above and beyond.
What is your passion or passions?
My passion is teaching. Trying new strategies, researching new and creative approaches to learning, and acquiring knowledge to enhance interests and enthusiasm.
How important is early childhood education?
Early childhood education affects the development of the brain’s architecture, which provides the foundation for all future learning and prepares children to develop the social and emotional skills they need to succeed.
What would you tell new parents who are apprehensive about leaving their infant in the care of someone else for the first time?
Being a parent, I totally understand how parents feel when leaving their child in someone else’s care for the first time. This is a very normal feeling that all parents experience. However, with constant updates and photos throughout the day, parents may not be physically present in the building, but they can still be a part of their child’s day. We also have an open-door policy so that our families can visit their child any time of day or watch them on the lobby camera whenever needed.

What is your educational background, and what inspired you to pursue a career in early childhood education?
I have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with a minor in counseling from the University of Toledo. I recently earned my master’s degree in school counseling from Capella University. I’ve always loved working with children, and I believe there is always room to grow and learn every day. One thing I’ve noticed while working with younger children is their incredible creativity and imagination! My goal is to inspire them to follow their dreams through learning.
How long have you been with TGS, and what excites you most about being part of this school community?
I joined TGS in January 2025, and I am thrilled to be part of our students’ learning and growth. I’m also excited to collaborate with this wonderful team of educators!
What do you love most about working with children during their early years of development?
Working with children inspires me to grow as a teacher every day. Our students are the future, and as we guide them through new learning experiences, we also have the opportunity to learn alongside them.
What is the most rewarding part of your day at TGS?
The most rewarding part of my day is seeing the students’ smiles as they learn something new. Even the smallest achievements can be incredibly meaningful for them—and for me as their teacher.
Share the name of a teacher who inspired you and describe how they influenced your approach to education.
My high school counselor inspired me to pursue a career in education. She always took the time to ensure her students and their families felt supported. No matter what was happening in her day, I always felt like her door was open to talk about anything. I knew early on that I wanted to provide that same kind of support for students and families. My goal is to create a welcoming environment, not just for students but for my colleagues as well.
Why do you believe quality early childhood education is important for a child’s development?
Quality early childhood education is crucial because it lays the foundation for a child’s academic, social, emotional, and cognitive growth. As educators, we help build these foundations, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to thrive and develop every day in our classrooms.
How would you comfort and reassure new parents who may feel nervous about leaving their child in someone else’s care for the first time?
When I first started working in a school, I didn’t fully understand how emotional it could be for parents to leave their child in a new classroom for the first time. Over time, I learned just how important it is to provide reassurance and support during this transition. Now, as a parent myself, I understand this experience firsthand. Dropping off my own son for the first time was nerve-wracking, but I had peace of mind knowing he was in the hands of caring, loving teachers. At TGS, we strive to create that same sense of trust and comfort for every family.
How do you partner with parents to support their child’s growth and learning journey?
Communication is key when partnering with parents on their child’s learning journey. We want parents to feel comfortable and confident in sharing their thoughts, questions, and concerns with us. Our role is to support them in any way we can. Every day is an opportunity for growth—not just for students, but for educators as well.
